We are in the final weeks of the United Way Campaign and Ithaca College is at the 75% mark toward our goal of raising $60,000. Also, thanks to participation by many new contributors and generous increases in commitment from prior donors we are also very close to meeting the one-to-one match up to $5,000. We have two weeks to bring our campaign to successful conclusion and now is the time for action. Payroll deduction makes it really simple to have a big impact over the course of the year as even a gift of $1, $5, or up to $20 per paycheck can really add up and help those in need in our community.  As a reminder, 100% of your gift to the United Way of Tompkins County and its member organizations will go to support needed services and not to administrative support of the local or national United Way.

If you would prefer a hard copy pledge form, please email me at npringle@ithaca.edu and I will get one off to you. Don’t delay as the clock is ticking and we need your help to make our goal! 

Remember, you have a number of options about how to donate – just follow the directions on the online site or hard copy pledge form. You can specify your gift to:

• UWTC’s Community Care Fund, with targeted special initiatives of Hunger and Food Security or Urgent Rx Prescription.
• Any of the more than 40 UWTC partner agencies or community councils that might be of personal importance to you or your family.
• The United Way in your home county or another non-profit organization.
• The Ithaca College Student United Way, our own national award winning student philanthropic organization.

Please don’t wait – your gift regardless of size will impact the lives of so many people in our local community. Together we can make a difference!
