IC Challah for Hunger raise awareness to the issues of hunger and povertyContributed by Theresa Johnson on 04/03/15 There is an estimated 13, 280 individuals who lack access to food in Tompkins County. Just last year, Ilana Wolf started the Ithaca College chapter of a national organization, Challah for Hunger, in order to raise awareness to the issues of hunger and poverty. Last semester, the student organization held a baking event at Longview, which will hopefully become an annual event. In the future, IC Challah for Hunger hopes to partner with the SUNY Binghamton University chapter and hold a big event. This month, IC Challah for Hunger volunteered with the Mac n' Cheese Bowl, which raises money for the national organization, Meals on Wheels.
