Go Fishing on Lake Ontario!

Contributed by Don Austin on 04/07/15

The Ithaca Anglers Club will be offering the campus community an opportunity to go fishing on Lake Ontario on Saturday, April 25! The group has reserved 2 charter boats for the trip. This is the best time of year to catch Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout on the legendary Lake O.

The group will leave from campus on Friday, April 24, after class and stay near the marina. Lodging and transportation to and from Lake Ontario is provided for all participants. The cost of the trip is $140.00, which includes personal cost of the charter and captain's tip. Participants are responsible for their own food. Students who do not have a NY state fishing license can acquire a One Day fishing license for $5 at a nearby Dick's Sporting Goods or Walmart. Non-resident students can show their student ID at these places and receive the resident full season license rate!

For more information about the Lake Ontario Fishing Trip, please email austin@ithaca.edu for more information.

Come to the Ithaca Anglers Meeting on Wednesday, April 8, at 7pm in Williams 221 to learn more about the group and the opportunities in the area.

Join the Ithaca Anglers Facebook Page to keep up on fishing in the Finger Lakes region!
