Calling all Outdoor-folk!! Learn How to Track Animals and Read Signs in the Local LandscapeContributed by Carol Hansen on 04/09/15
Become more aware of what’s happening all around you in the natural landscape by studying local natural history, identifying clear-print tracks, analyzing just what the almost-invisible (except, perhaps, for deer!) animals that surround us in the woods and fields of upstate New York are doing, and so enhance all of your outdoor experiences! Jason Hamilton, natural history expert in the Environmental Studies & Sciences Department and initiator of IC’s immensely popular Environmental Sentinels course, will be teaching a Maymester course – ENVS 142 – in the art and science of tracking.
