EXSS 20200 - Sport and Exercise Psychology will be offered online during Summer Session I. Course attributes: GE 1: Self & Society, Liberal Arts, Social Sciences 

This course is an introduction to the psychological factors that influence sport and exercise participation and performance. You will learn Mental Skill Training techniques such as goal setting, imagery, relaxation training, concentration etc. and will be able to use it in your own performance areas to improve your own performances. This course will also discuss how these mental skills and other techniques can be used to improve performance, self-confidence, manage anxiety and stress, improve concentration, motivation, and leadership, among other topics. The psychology of burnout, injury and exercise adherence will also be explored.
