Web professionals and colleagues: This summer, Ithaca plays host to a regional conference of the HighEdWeb Association, a professional organization and community for those who work in web-related jobs at colleges and universities.

The conference will be held on June 12 at the Statler Hotel on the Cornell University campus. The keynote will be delivered by Ryan Craig, an education innovation investor and managing director of University Ventures. Craig recently published a book titled “College Disrupted: The Great Unbundling of Higher Education,” which takes a creative look at the forces currently shaping higher education and their likely outcome.

Additional presentations for the day are being finalized. Presenters at HighEdWeb conferences speak to a range of topics, including digital content strategies and management, storytelling on the web, website architecture, site coding and development, social media strategies, and more.

An in-person social networking event will be held the evening of June 11 for those who plan to arrive and register the night before.

The conference is being planned and coordinated by a joint group of colleagues from Cornell and Ithaca College. For more information, to learn new details as they become available, and to register, visit ny15.highedweb.org or follow @HEWebNY on Twitter.
