Save the date! The Aspire Dance Company is coming to Ithaca College on Friday, May 8th at 7:30 p.m.Contributed by Jean Celeste-Astorina on 05/06/15 The Diversity Awareness Committee is happy to present the Aspire Dance Company. Through performing, they are dedicated to changing the perception of dance and disability, one audience at a time.
Enjoy the performance and challenge your pre-conceived notions of what dance is and what it means to be a dancer. A discussion following the performance will include the attendees' thoughts regarding the privilege of an "able body", the boundaries of physical ability, artistic expression and diversity awareness. Admission will be free of charge, thanks to sponsorship by the Diversity Awareness Committee. This event is open to students, faculty, staff and the public. This is an event that is not to be missed!
