The Park School Writing Award Committee is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2014 Faculty Award. Andrew Utterson was recognized for his article, "Early Visions of Interactivity: The In(put)s and Out(put)s of Real-Time Computing" in Leonardo, a highly competitive and peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by MIT Press.

The committee felt his work displayed "a highly original connection of media/arts and technology, simultaneously fitting well into the historical literature on human-machine interaction and forging a new perspective on relationships to the arts … and exemplified a balance of scholarly substance and accessibility to a wide audience."

Congratulations, Andrew.

Special thanks to Gordon Rowland, Jack Bryant, and Pablo Calvi for serving on this year’s committee.
