Dear faculty,

300+ exams will be administered through Student Accessibility Services during final exam week.  The large number of students using test accommodations through Student Accessibility Services during finals week necessitates careful planning for adequate test space, proctors, readers, scribes, and to ensure the integrity of all tests.

Please be aware of the following procedures:

You will receive a Homer Workflow request for each exam scheduled by a student.

Exams can be sent to us in one of three ways.  Please be sure to approve the requests through Homer Workflow in addition to sending the exams.  Please do so a minimum of 24 hours before the exam date.

·      Deliver to 110 Towers Concourse

·      Send to tests@ithaca.edu

·      Upload to Homer Workflow from the REVIEWER page

If this is not possible, please call the office (274-1005) and indicate when the exam will be delivered. Due to the number of tests taking place during finals week, most exams are administered in locations outside our office, and we need to have them delivered to the test site well before the exam seating. Do not send tests via campus mail as the exam may not arrive in time; also, this is not a secure method of delivery.

When e-mailing an exam, please send the exam as an attachment to preserve proper formatting.

Please remember to include special instructions (e.g. open book/open notes), blue books, and Scantron sheets with the exams.

Please provide a way that you prefer to be contacted should a question or concern arise regarding the tests we are administering.

Please put images, pictures, videos, etc. on a CD or flash drive, ensuring both test security by avoiding use of the internet and an accurate visual image (e.g. color images for art history exams).  We sometimes have trouble opening links so sending the audio/visual portions on a CD or flash drive will eliminate unnecessary obstacles.

Completed exams will be delivered to the Dean's Office or, upon your request, will be held in 110 Towers Concourse for you to pick up.  We are not able to scan and email completed exams.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact our office at 274-1005.

Thank you for your time and assistance.
