This an online survey course that does not assume prior knowledge about the Holocaust.

Course Description

The class will focus on two important aspects of the Holocaust. The motives of German killers who persisted in killing even when there was an opportunity to opt out of their murderous work will be explored. We will also investigate through films, as well as readings, the efforts of European Jews to survive the Nazi onslaught. 

There are no set meeting times and all work is done online.
