Senior Athletic Training Majors Continue National Boards PerfectionContributed by Paul Geisler on 05/15/15 10 graduating members of the Athletic Training Class of 2015 passed their national Board of Certification examination, bringing the program's streak to 76 consecutive first time pass results! The Athletic Training Education program in the Department of Exercise & Sport Sciences has a history of long term excellence, including amongst other accomplishments a historic 93% first time pass rate on the national Board of Certification examination over the last 40, or so years. Passing the exam is the central requirement for state licensure in order to practice Athletic Training in one's chosen state. Recently, the program has taken it up a notch, and has now gone 5 straight years without any students failing to pass the exam on the first attempt, bringing the current streak to 76 straight students who have passed the comprehensive examination on the first attempt. This spring, Class of 2015 members Jacob Mir, Aliza Kamman, Colby Locke, Emma Lazzari, Meaghan Goodheart, Kyle MacKinnon, James Quist, Marie Dardano, Lindsay Yates & Tyler Lemmons were the latest "soon to be" Bomber AT Alums who will become Certified Athletic Trainers (ATCs) once they officially graduate. Congrats to all! |
