New Director of Ithaca College London Center NamedContributed by Rosalie Fitzgerald on 06/17/15 SUBMITTED ON BEHALF OF TANYA R. SAUNDERS, ASSISTANT PROVOST I am pleased to announce that Dr. Thorunn Lonsdale has been appointed Director of the Ithaca College London Center, effective August 1st, 2015. Dr. Lonsdale has served as the Center’s Operations Manager and Associate Director; she brings years of study abroad administration and international experience to the Center. I look forward to her leadership as the Center takes on a greater role in serving the College’s interests in Europe, enhancing alumni engagement, and supporting international student recruitment. She will be the tenth director, first British national, and first native Londoner to head the Center. Dr. Lonsdale has a doctorate in English Literature from Queen Mary, University of London, and is the co-editor of Caribbean Women Writers: Fiction to English. I invite you to join me in congratulating her on her promotion and to meet her on her next visit to campus. |
