LOCALLY SOURCED
June 20- August 16, 2015
Johnson Art Museum, Cornell University
Opening Reception, Friday, June 26, 5-7 p.m.
Free, open to the public, wheelchair accessible.

Locally Sourced is a curated show of work by artists who are based in and around Ithaca: Mara Baldwin, Joshua Bonnetta, Leslie Brack, Gail Fitzgerald, Matt Glaysher, Jeremy Holmes, Ron Jude, Nicholas Muellner, Ann Reichlin, Michael Robinson, and Melissa Zarem. Mara Baldwin works at Ithaca College as the director of the Handwerker Gallery.  Joshua Bonnetta, Nicholas Muellner, and Ron Jude are faculty members in the Roy Parks School of Communication.  Michael Robinson '03 is an IC alumni whose work was exhibited on campus at the Handwerker Gallery in October 2014. Melissa Zarem is a locally-based artist whose work was featured in a three-person exhibition at the Handwerker Gallery in March/April 2013.

The exhibition will feature work in a variety of media—including painting, sculpture, photography, video, installation, and mixed media. Reflecting a kind of microcosm of contemporary art, Locally Sourced shows that many of these artists work within a broader context, having shown their work across the world, from Russia to New Zealand and Scotland to Portugal. This will be the first time for the participating artists to exhibit at the Johnson Museum.
