More than 650 chemistry professionals and students from academia and industry participated in this event.   Those included representatives from large research institutions (such as Cornell, Yale & Princeton) and smaller graduate and undergraduate schools (Bucknell, the College of New Jersey & SUNY Brockport) as well as companies (Johnson and Johnson, Advion, etc.), from NY, NJ, PA, Vermont, Washington DC, MA and other states in NE area, and extended to the participants as far as California, Colorado, Chicago, North Carolina, Florida and Canada.

 

The event started with a grand opening poster session and graduate school fair on June 10th 2015, with a total of 190 poster presentations held in Emerson Suites.  Almost 70 of the posters were entered in the Undergraduate Poster competition. The Competition was sponsored by the ACS Undergraduate Programs Office and judged by the esteemed panel which included members of the ACS Board of Directors. 

The results of the competition are below: 

1st Prize: Ben Morse and Max Klemes, Ithaca College (’17 and ’15, respectively).
2nd Prize: Tanya Townsend and Christopher Kirby, The College of New Jersey.
3rd Prize: Nicolas Blobel, Cornell University.
