Laura Kuo and Jana Waller have manuscript accepted for publicationContributed by Matt Morgan on 07/12/15 Laura Kuo, Health Sciences Librarian, and Jana Waller, Clinical Instructor/Fieldwork Coordinator/Assistant Chair in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, recently had a manuscript accepted for publication in Contemporary Issues in Communication Science and Disorders (CICSD). In their article, Teaching Evidence-Based Practice and Information Literacy in an Undergraduate Speech-Language Pathology Program: A Student Reflection, Kuo and Waller highlight the benefits of collaboratively teaching undergraduate students information literacy (IL) skills for finding evidence-based information. The publication is based on a study they conducted to assess teaching evidence-based practice (EBP) and IL skills through an active-learning library workshop in an undergraduate speech-language pathology (SLP) capstone course.
