Hollywood Reporter Names the Park School to its Top 25 Film Schools ListContributed by Melissa Gattine on 08/04/15 The Hollywood Reporter — which bills itself as the authority on the film and entertainment industry — has included Ithaca College's Roy H. Park School of Communications in its ranking of the top 25 film schools in the nation. This is the second time the college has been recognized. The magazine’s annual rankings are determined by prestige, practical experience, inspirational teachers, potential career connections and access to cutting-edge equipment. Ithaca College is included among such institutions as the University of Southern California, American Film Institute and Rhode Island School of Design. The Hollywood Reporter notes upgrades the college has made to studio control rooms, cameras and graphics equipment in the Roy H. Park School of Communications and lauds the school’s partnership with the New York State Governor’s Office to form of the first chapter of the New York Film and Television Student Alliance. Among the school’s alumni highlighted in the ranking are Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger ’73, Terminator Genisys producer Bill Carraro ’82 and Bones actor David Boreanaz ’91 (pictured).
