At this time, ITS has not yet verified that software and systems commonly used at Ithaca College are compatible with the new operating system. In general, if you rely on your personal Windows computer for college work, we advise that you wait to upgrade until ITS has done more in-depth testing. This particularly applies to users who work with enterprise systems such as Parnassus "core applications" and Homer Admin. We do know that Windows 10 computers are currently incompatible with the ICAirnet-Secure Wireless network. Windows 10 devices will have to connect to ICAirnet or My-ResNet when appropriate.

Microsoft has released their latest operating system, Windows 10. For personal computers already running Windows 7 or Windows 8, Windows 10 will be available as a free update for the first year. College issued computers will continue to use Windows 7 while ITS investigates Windows 10’s compatibility with our software and systems.
