Ithaca College employees often enroll in courses that enhance work performance, promote self-improvement, or provide qualifications for higher job classifications. The Office of Extended Studies invites you to enroll in courses on a nondegree (extramural) basis this fall.

Nondegree (extramural) students enroll on a course-by-course basis without being admitted into a formal degree program at Ithaca College.

Registration for extramural students takes place through the Office of Extended Studies during the first week of classes beginning Wednesday, August 26, through Wednesday, September 2, 2015. (Registration forms can be submitted prior to August 26, but won’t be processed until classes begin.)

Follow these steps to register...

  1. Complete the Registration Form for Extramural Study.
  2. Collect any required approvals. Approvals may be obtained via email and forwarded to the Office of Extended Studies. If registering for a graduate course, be sure to obtain approval from the graduate program chair. If auditing a class, you will need instructor approval. Approvals are also required for all prerequisite waivers and/or capacity overrides.
  3. Eligible employees should complete the Staff/Faculty Tuition Remission Application prior to the beginning of the semester. Instructions for applying for IC educational benefits are listed on the HR website.

For complete information, visit: ithaca.edu/nondegree, or contact the Office of Extended Studies at oes@ithaca.edu.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact the Office of Extended Studies. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
