Star Wars Epic Yarns: A New Hope, a board book co-illustrated by Jack Wang, associate professor in Writing, and his brother, Holman Wang, has been selected by the Society of Illustrators for The Original Art exhibit at the Museum of American Illustration in New York City. The exhibit, which will feature an original piece of art from the book, runs from October 28 through December 23, 2015.

First staged in 1979, The Original Art is an annual juried exhibit that showcases “illustrations from the year’s best children’s books published in the U.S.” This year’s featured artists include Eric Carle, Oliver Jeffers, Jon Klassen, Nikki McClure, Peter Sís, and Mo Willems.

In addition to The Original Art, Jack Wang will be presenting his work for children this semester at New York Comic Con, The National Museum of Play in Rochester, Medaille College in Buffalo, and to the Jane Austen Society of North America in New York City.
