Through her service as an Academic Success Counselor at Paul Smith’s College, Katie provided guidance for students in the Academic Recovery Program. She also worked as a Student Services Advisor and Retention Coordinator in High Point, NC, wherein she aimed to further institutional retention and persistence rates through an assessment of student withdraw patterns. Additionally, Katie has experience teaching in the classroom setting, working as a Tutor in a learning assistance center, and in assisting individuals with disabilities. These skills and experiences combined with her proactive approach to academic advising provide Katie with a distinctive skillset that supports the goals of both the Academic Advising Center and the Center for Academic Advancement alike.
