The purpose of the Exploratory Career Coaching Group is to help facilitate the decision making process for choosing a college major. This group will be especially helpful for those who are unsure of their career interests or options, and those who have not yet identified their interests, values, skills, and how they relate to selecting a major.

Each group will be made up of 5 to 8 students who meet weekly to discuss their personal experiences , reflections, and discoveries regarding the process of choosing a major. Discussions and activities will be facilitated by a professional career counselor and will include things like: interests, skills, values, internships, resume writing, and more. There will be some expectations/activities outside of the meeting times, such as creating a resume, researching occupations, and completing career - related inventories.

Participants in this group are expected to attend all 9 meetings in the fall semester. A wee kly meeting time will be chosen based on a time when the highest number of participants can attend. Completing this application does not guarantee your participation.

The group will begin the week of September 21 st . Please bring completed applications to Career Services in Muller 101 by Monday, September 14 for consideration in the Exploratory Career Coaching Group. Accepted participants will be notified via email by September 16.
