Pulitzer Prize Winner Edward P. Jones Reads at Ithaca CollegeContributed by Eleanor Henderson on 10/26/15 The School of Humanities and Sciences and the Department of Writing are pleased to present an evening with acclaimed fiction writer Edward P. Jones, Pulitzer Prize winner and MacArthur Fellow. He will read from his work at 7:30pm on Tuesday, November 3rd in Hockett Family Recital Hall. The reading is free and open to the public. A question-and-answer period and book-signing will follow.
Edward P. Jones, the New York Times bestselling author, has published only three books of fiction, but has been awarded virtually every major fiction prize: the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Critics Circle Award, the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award, and the Lannan Literary Award for The Known World; he also received a MacArthur Fellowship in 2004. His first collection of stories, Lost in the City, won the PEN/Hemingway Award and was short-listed for the National Book Award. His second collection, All Aunt Hagar’s Children, was a finalist for the Pen/Faulkner Award. He has been an instructor of fiction writing at a range of universities, including Princeton, and he lives in Washington, D.C., where he now teaches at George Washington University.
