Michael Smith's profile of Mel West, the founder of Personal Energy Transportation (PET), appears in the September 7 issue of the Christian Science Monitor in its People Making a Difference section. PETs are three-wheeled, hand-pedaled machines that provide more than 50,000 mobility-impaired people in the developing world with transportation.
