 The Ithacan has once again been named a finalist for the National Newspaper Pacemaker Award and the National Online Pacemaker Award by the Associated Collegiate Press. The winners of the awards — widely regarded as “the Pulitzer Prize of collegiate journalism” — will be announced at this fall's National College Media Convention in Austin, Texas, on October 31. 
 The Associated Collegiate Press is the oldest and largest membership organization of college journalists in the country. 

In addition, The Ithacan has been honored as a National Finalist in the Society of Professional Journalists' 2014 Mark of Excellence Award competition, recognizing the paper as one of the top three non-daily student publications in the country.
