The Park Center for Independent Media welcomes JIM HIGHTOWER to campus on Thursday, Sept. 24, 7 p.m. in Emerson Suites. The prolific author, commentator, humorist, and progressive Texas populist fights to eliminate student debt, get dark money out of politics, kill secret trade deals that hurt U.S. communities, and protect workers, among other things. He'll share his wisdom in his unique and entertaining way with us in a talk he's calling "Against the Grain: How Indy Media and Activists Can Challenge Corporate Control."
