Circle K makes dozens of PB&J sandwiches for a local homeless shelterContributed by Theresa Johnson on 09/22/15 IC Circle K International held their first meeting on September 2nd,making dozens of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to donate to a local homeless shelter. With both new and returning members, the student organization is excited to continue their work as IC's collegiate Key Club, focusing on community service, leadership development, and friendship. Andrea Wollin, '17, this year’s Vice-President, states, “Circle K is known for helping out the community, but it has become much more than that to me, because by giving back I have gained a greater understanding of how much this wonderful community has helped me grow and mature as an individual.” As a returning student organization, they’ve been working hard creating a team to participate in the Out of the Darkness Walk on September 19th to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Circle K works with every possible age group and demographic to put “a little good into the world everyday”.
