Sara Haefeli delivered a paper, "The Politics of Protest: An Intertextual Reading of John Adams and John Cage," and chaired a panel on "Post-postmodernism" at the recent Association for the Study of the Arts of the Present (ASAP) conference in Greenville, SC, September 24-27.

ASAP is an international, multidisciplinary association that is dedicated to "discovering and articulating the aesthetic, cultural, ethical, and political identities of the contemporary arts." In addition to studying the role of the arts in contemporary culture through interdisciplinary dialogue, the association celebrates the creative work of artists and rejects the separation of the creative artist from the world of the scholar-critic.

The 2016 conference will be held in Tartu, Estonia and the call for papers will be announced soon.  For more information, visit the ASAP website.
