Ithaca College orchestral season kicks off with two free concertsContributed by Jenny Stockdale on 10/01/15
Sunday, October 4 Opening the season with the world premiere of Rosenblum’s “Sharpshooter” - a brilliant new work featuring unusual microtonal elements, presented in a captivatingly rhythmic way. This concert will feature voice faculty Marc Webster singing “Songs of a Wayfarer,” Mahler’s first mature work that created a new genre — the orchestral song cycle. The concert will conclude with one of Tchaikovsky’s most famous and triumphant works, “Symphony in E minor.” Tuesday, October 6 Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact the School of Music at 607-274-3717.
