A huge kudos goes out to PODER this week for ALL of the events they have sponsored for Latina/o Heritage Month so far! Award-winning poet Carlos Andres Gomez kicked off the month on September 16 followed by Kat Lazo, a Latina feminist, on September 21. This past Monday, there was a Bachata Workshop held in the ALS Room in West Tower where attendees learned traditional Bachata moves led by specialized Bachata dance instructors.
