Dom: What are some things you will do as a rep to increase inclusivity?

Christine: Social Media. Individual group wide events, specific majors should come together and meet up. Social media getting the word out.

Kyle: Why now?

Christine: Was always part of Student Government in High School and Middle school, didn’t know about SGA in Freshmen year. Sophomore year her best friend works for Ithacan and told her about all of the cool things. Started late because she was nervous whether or not to do it. Then she decided to and was excited.

Megan: Is there anything on campus that is an issue that you are passionate about?

Christine: LGBT community, really passionate about that, should be more classes. It is very accepted here, there should be more events.

            Discussion:

Ø  Kyle: Christi took the initiative and seemed enthusiastic, I think she would make a great senator.

Ø  Joe: If she can be senator and find her way on class council.

Ø  Kyle James: A lot of everyone’s first speeches on SGA were also like class council.

Ø  Charlotte: What is the difference between class council and SGA?

Ø  Dom: Trend of people wanting to be in SGA to improve school spirit, which is important. They are regular student organizations, came out of the idea of school spirit.
