Two student affairs staff members, Doreen Hettich-Atkins and Tiffani Ziemann, have are very involved in the College Student Personnel Association of New York State (CSPA-NYS).  They both serve as Board members and presented at the recent conference.  

Doreen Hettich-Atkins, Senior Assistant to the Associate Provosts, Educational Affairs  and Tiffani Ziemann, Area Coordinator and Title IX Director, Residential Life recently attended the College Student Personnel Association of New York State’s annual convention. 

Doreen just completed her year as president of CSPA-NYS and will serve as the immediate past-president over the next year.  This is the second time that Doreen has served as president of this association.

 

Tiffani has recently joined the CSPA-NYS Board as a member at large.  In addition Tiffani served as the programs chair for this year’s conference.

 

Doreen presented a conference session entitled “Building a Culture of Assessment” which focused on the new assessment initiatives being undertaken in the student life areas at Ithaca College.  She also presented an invited session to the Mid-level Managers Institute on “Managing Up” and facilitated a roundtable on the experiences of ALANA students on predominantly white campuses.

 

Tiffani presented an invited session to the Graduate and Next Gen pre-conferences on “Finding Your Purpose in Higher Education”.

 

Lisa Famularo ’16 and Heather Crespin ’16 attended the Next Gen conference that is focused on undergraduates who aspire to a career in student affairs.
