The team that created the New York State LGBT Needs Survey will be on campus to present their preliminary data, and to talk about their work on Thursday November 5 at 12 noon in room 301 of the Business School.

3800 LGBT New Yorkers answered the LGBT Health and Human Services Needs Assessment Survey. Come hear about the findings! If you're interested in LGBT people, in data, or generally interested in the types of careers researchers have, this is an event not to be missed.

The researchers conducted the 2015 statewide LGBT Health and Human Services Needs Assessment Survey. Our community had one of the largest response rates in all of New York - nearly 500 people took the survey from the Central New York region, including over 100 transgender and gender nonconforming people - and we're pleased to have this opportunity to bring the researchers to campus to share the findings with us.

Unfortunately, LGBT people from our region experience significant economic vulnerabilities, including food insecurity, under-insurance and poverty. It has long been a goal for LGBT New Yorkers to be visible and counted. The statewide LGBT advocacy organization, The Empire State Pride Agenda, and the LGBT Health and Human Services Network hired Strength in Numbers Consulting Group to design and administer the 2015 New York State LGBT Health and Human Services Needs Survey to gather data to help map out a plan to provide essential LGBT health and human service programs in our community and throughout the state. They will share their findings at this event.

Feel free to bring your lunch, desserts & beverages will be provided.
