Ithaca’s Mock Trial teams put forth a solid showing in at the Eight Annual Spartan Throwdown Invitational tournament sponsored by Case Western University this past weekend in Cleveland, Ohio.

Ithaca’s A team finished with four wins and four losses, prevailing over teams from Indiana University and Dayton, while losing to another Dayton team and Pittsburg. Ithaca’s B team finished with a 4-3 record. A highlight for Ithaca was a very strong performance by team captain Taylor Reeves, who won a top attorney award for finishing 3rd among a group of over 125 attorneys. The team also benefited greatly from the good counsel of Judge Mary Jane Boyle ’86, a judge of Ohio’s Eight District Court of Appeals, who observed two rounds and provided her comments to the team.  Ithaca College Mock Trial will next compete at St. Bonaventure University on November 7th and 8th.
