IC has an Education Minor?! It's new! And it may be right for you!Contributed by Ellie Fulmer on 11/04/15 Education Studies Minor Info Sessions this week: Thurs (11/5) 4:00-6:00 PM and Fri (11/6) 12:00-1:00 PM. Are you passionate about the potential for education to change lives? Come meet other Education students, faculty, and staff, and learn about the Education Studies Minor. All are welcome!
November 5 (4:00-6:00) and November 6 (12:00-1:00) In the Education Department, Phillips Hall (located between IC Bookstore and Career Services).
Did you know? The Education Minor has two pathways: studies leading to grad programs in teacher certification, or studies of education issues broadly from a variety of fields and perspectives. Our classes across both pathways are committed to critical reflection, participatory citizenship and service. We believe that true excellence in education requires a commitment to equity and social justice.
So, if you are interested in issues of equity and justice…. ….passionate about the potential for education to change lives…. ….perhaps you are you considering a graduate degree in teaching…. the Education Studies Minor might be a good fit for you!
