Jill Mayer, PT, DPT, NCS and 7 graduate students of the Department of Physical Therapy are looking to identify individuals who have a diagnosis of cancer (any type) or are newly in remission who are interested in receiving an individualized home exercise program. Participants must also be currently going through active cancer treatment or less than 90 days post their final treatment. The researchers are looking to develop an individualized home therapy program for participants in an attempt to improve or maintain physical function, improve overall well-being and counteract the negative effects of treatment. This program would be designed based off of the participant’s goals and needs and be instructed in the person’s own home in order to complete it at any time of day.
