If you would like to improve your communication skills within an atmosphere of fellowship and fun, then Toastmasters is for you.

Ithaca College Toastmasters meetings are held bi-weekly from 2 pm to 3 pm. The next two meetings of the Ithaca College Toastmasters Club will be on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 in Cayuga Lake Room in the Campus Center, and Wednesday, December 9, 2015 in the Ithaca College Room at Longview. Mark your calendars!

The purpose of Toastmasters is to meet with others in a congenial and supportive environment and learn to:

  • Improve speaking, listening, thinking, and leadership skills.
  • Discover hidden abilities and bring latent talents into use.
  • Obtain an expanded vision of the communication role.
  • Increase self-esteem through active participation in personal development.
  • Give and receive practical evaluations as you practice speaking.

Lose your fear of public speaking, have fun, and learn skills that will help you be more successful in whatever path you have chosen in life. Members work towards earning their Competent Communicator and Leadership awards and other advanced honors.

Anyone interested in learning more is invited to attend as a guest. Feel free to join us and see for yourself.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Catherine Wall at cwall@ithaca.edu or (607)274-1095. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
