Travelers will now get to New York City faster and with less expense as Coach USA rolls out its new Platinum Express Service in Ithaca, on Thursday, December 10, 2015.

The service adds reduced fares and several new non-stops between Ithaca and New York City, as well as new pickup and drop off locations. Platinum Express busses will pick up on-campus at Ithaca College, Cornell University and the Ithaca Bus Terminal; Thursdays, twice on Fridays, and Sundays.

Platinum Express busses will offer free snack and beverage service, free on board Wi-Fi and plugins.

In addition to the new non-stop services from Ithaca, there is non-stop return service from New York to Ithaca. Platinum Express will be available on Thursday, twice on Friday, with single returns on both Saturday and Sunday.

In addition to new non-stop service, ShortLine Coach USA will continue to offer 9 other schedules to/from NYC.

Fares are being lowered to $50 one-way for the new non-stop express service.

“For many years, we’ve offered daily bus service to our Ithaca customers, always trying to adjust to our riders’ needs”, said Marketing Manager, Laurie Heller. “We’ve seen a new and dramatic demand for express service. New start-up companies have come into the market and they’ve helped us realize that we need to move in that direction, as well. Platinum Express will not only increase the number of our Ithaca non-stops, but will offer tickets for less.”

Tickets are available at www.ithacaplatinum.com. Riders may print out a paper e-ticket or use their mobile device for recognition. For additional information please call ShortLine Coach USA at 1-800-631-8405 or visit www.ithacaplatinum.com.
