The ICCO is please to welcome back to the stage pianist Gilbert Kalish and Miri Yampolsky in Mozart’s double piano concerto. The profound influence of pianist Gilbert Kalish as an educator and pianist in myriad performances and recordings has established him as a major figure in American music-making. Yampolsky performs frequently in prestigious international festivals and also co-directs Ithaca’s own chamber music festival, Mayfest. This classically-inspired concert opens with Beethoven’s dramatic Leonore Overture No. 3 and ends with Mendelssohn’s joyous Italian Symphony.

Winter Choral Concert

Performances by the Madrigals and Chorus conducted by Derrick Fox and the Women’s Chorale and Choir conducted by Janet Galvan.  The Choir will perform Dan Elder’s Ave Maria and Dominick DiOrio’s A Dome of Many Coloured Glass.  Gordon Stout, guest artist.

Brass Choir and Trombone Troupe
7:00 p.m.  |  Ford Hall
Keith Kaiser will conduct the Brass Choir in music of Byrd and Gabrieli plus Zaninelli’s “Music for a Solemn Occasion” and Hazell’s “Three Brass Cats,” with faculty member Greg Evans on drum set.  The trombone troupe will perform music by Phillips, Ewazen, Bach, and Uber.
