Diversity and Inclusion: The Faculty Excellence Awards seek to recognize excellence in all areas of the College and greater community and are committed to the institution’s aim “to build an inclusive and welcoming community of individuals with diverse talents and skills from a multitude of backgrounds who are committed to civility, respect, social justice, and the free and open exchange of ideas” (Ithaca College diversity statement, www.Ithaca.edu/diversity/statement). We particularly welcome the nomination of faculty who have achieved distinction in the area of promoting diversity in teaching, scholarship, and service. Nomination: Any faculty member, administrator/staff member, or student from the College community may nominate an individual for an excellence award. It is the nominator’s responsibility to complete and submit the nomination. A student nominator, however, may request that this responsibility be given to a faculty member or administrator/staff member. Self-nominations are not eligible.
