Major Network Outage Saturday, Jan 9th and Sunday, Jan 10th
Major network maintenance is planned for late evening Saturday, January 9th into mid-day Sunday, January 10th.

Brief Network Outage Tuesday, Jan 5th
Between 6:00-6:30 AM there may be a brief campus network outage (less than 1 minute) while network maintenance is performed.

Between 6:00-7:00 AM there may be a brief campus network outage (less than 1 minute) while network maintenance is performed.

As the whole college must surely know, DIIS was the acronym for the Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies which housed several academic units and which was axed by president Tom Rochon some years ago over the protests of its faculty and students. It is therefore really bad form for ITS to have appropriated this acronym in the living memory of those of us who opposed the arbitrary axing of the original DIIS. At the very least, ITS's appropriation continues to remind us of this act of untrammeled authoritarianism and bad faith by the president. Is there no other acronym in the world that might be more suitable in the present instance given this sordid history?
