Official Statement from Ithaca College Faculty Council regarding Tom Rochon’s Announcement of Retirement from the PresidencyContributed by Ari Kissiloff on 01/14/16 January 14, 2016 From Faculty Council of Ithaca College As the elected representative body of the Ithaca College faculty, Faculty Council looks forward to working with all constituencies in advancing the best interests of the College in this time of transition following the announcement that President Tom Rochon will step down in July of 2017. This has been a tumultuous year at many institutions of higher learning, including Ithaca College. This fall, strong voices raised issues vital to the health of our institution and our society; we as faculty have much work ahead of us. Faculty Council will work with the entire faculty and benefit from our colleagues’ diverse perspectives to build for the future in collaboration with the broader campus community.
Submitted on behalf of Faculty Council at our Executive meeting 1/14/16 by representative Ari Kissiloff

Well said, Peter. You have had a heavy load in leading the Faculty and, despite my ill-chosen words at one point (which I regret), I genuinely appreciate what you have done and continue to do on our behalf.
