Gossa Tsegaye, Assistant Professor of Media Arts, Sciences, and Studies, conducted a two-day workshop at Mekelle Univerisity in Ethiopia over winter break. 

Journalism educators from Mekelle, Axum and Adigrat Universities, media practitioners from Tigray Mass Media Agency (Tigray TV), Dimtsi Woyane Tigray as well as independent documentary film producers attended the training. The subject areas of training included camera operating, lighting, mic types and positioning, directing inside and outside studio, operating systems in the control room as well as documentary production (teams and script development). The practical aspects of the training were delivered within studios of the Tigray Mass Media Agency, which owns state of the arts media technology.
