Are you getting a laptop replaced as part of Technology Renewal for Spring 2016? If you are, you have a great opportunity to bring the laptop to the DIIS Laptop Fair for replacement early in the semester!

Due to the large number of computers that need to be replaced in the spring semester, we are offering two dates on which you can bring your current laptop to the Service Desk and exchange it for your Spring 2016 Technology Renewal replacement laptop. You will need to bring your current laptop and power adapter with you. Please note that the official guardian of record must bring the computer in for replacement. We will be having the fair at the Service Desk (104 Job Hall) on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, February 2nd, 2016 9am – 4pm
  • Wednesday, February 3rd, 2016 9am – 4pm

To ensure a quick and efficient replacement process, please have any data from your old laptop that you wish to save backed up prior to arriving. Due to the high volume of replacements we are anticipating we will be unable to assist with the installation of specialized software during the fair but we can schedule a follow up visit to your office.  If you are unable to attend the fair on either date, the laptop will be replaced at your office on your department’s regularly scheduled installation date. Guardians are notified via email 30 and 7 days prior to the scheduled replacement date.  You can find additional details about the Technology Renewal program, including how to prepare for tech renewal by visiting this site: Technology Renewal Program

This fair provides an opportunity for you to get your new laptop sooner, and for DIIS to process more replacements than we could by going to individual offices. This is our 3rd semester to hold this popular event and we hope to see you there!
