A.       LGBTQ Bill

·             Meeting should happen sometime next week.

·             Things are moving forward.

B.       FAFSA Bill

·             Have to email people.

C.       State of the student

·             Going to move forward with it this semester.

 

 

D.       Committee Representation

·             Productive to move forward with that one.

·             Build a system where we can track the positions that students have in the governance of the college.

E.        No Confidence Bill

·             Passes unanimously.

·             Rochon is going to retire July 1st, 2017.

·             Two sides to this.

·             During State of the Student, or somewhere soon, there will be a public statement about it.

F.         Course Evaluations

·             Will start up again in the spring.

·             There are more and more departments that switched to online course evaluations.

G.       Student Bill of Rights

·             Will be solidifying a group of students that will be a student’s rights.

·             Get together students of all across campus who have participated in creating the Bill of Rights.

·             Pulling opinions, and things within the bill.

·             Bring it one more step and then give it to the board of trustees for their May meeting.

H.       Shared Governance

·             Will begin on the 28th of January.

·             Looking forward to working with committee and see what comes from it.

·             Two meetings, also one on the 4th of February.

·             Plan after the 4th is to come to the campus with our ideas.

·             We need to have an awesome semester.

·             So many things in the air for SGA, and we need to pull them together.

·             Would like everyone to come after the meeting to SGA office after meeting.

·             It is redesigned.

·             The values document has been released, it is linked to our website and social media, the Ithacan linked to it in one of their articles.

 

Kyle Stewart:

·             Recruitment night in the Clark Lounge.

·             Feb. 1st.

·             Meeting will follow that.

·             Every bill is on Org. Sync and all of the minutes from next semester.

 

Matilda:

·             You still have to officially vote me in.

·             I will be happy to meet with you.

 

Kyle James:

·             I really would love to have academic school senators.

·             Would love to see students in those positions as they sit on important committee for college campus wide. 

·             Different programs/courses.

·             If anyone is interested let me know.

 

Evan:

·             Before break we had extensive appropriations meeting.

·             Will present next week on the final numbers of it all.

·             Senior week come through.

·             Things went smoothly.

·             We are done with senior week!!

 

Marieme:

·             I hope you all had wonderful breaks.

·             If you know anyone who is interested in being a senator send them my way.

·             Any questions about bills, let me know.

·             Take care of yourselves.

 

Matt:

·             Recruitment night is RHA and SGA working together, posters are being printed for that now.

·             Will be in all of residencet’s halls.

·             Around campus as well.

·             Facebook event, share it on Facebook.

·             Service Saturday.

·             Have lunch with the potential head of the registrarRegistrar candidate, 5-7 students, free lunch, ask any questions that you would like, there will be another on the 5th of February and one tomorrow. It would be at 11:30-12:10.  

·             Elect Heror is scheduled for Sunday February 21st.
