Wheels for Women is a organization created by Associate Professor Kathleen Mulligan and husband David Studwell after Mulligan's Fulbright to India in 2010. Funds raised from the cabaret go towards the training and licensing of residents as auto rickshaw drivers: offering women a path towards financial independence and away from their abusers. To date, Wheels for Women has purchased two new auto rickshaws for the shelter and trained and licensed nearly twenty residents as rickshaw drivers.
