Books Thru bars is a service organization centered around promoting literacy in prisons! Our main focus is packaging up books and mailing them out to prisoners who requested them across the Northeast. Our FIRST MAILING is Saturday, February 13th from 10:00 to 1:00 (stop by whenever, and you don't have to stay the whole time) in the Taughannock Falls room (That's in Campus Center on the third floor down the hall from the OSEMA office). This will be an event where we package and mail books to send out to prisoners! It's in conjunction with Service Saturday, so there's an opportunity to get service credit too. We hope to see everyone there next weekend. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Ngan Tran at ntran@ithaca.edu. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible. |
