PLEASE MAKE MY GLOCK PINK, PURPLE, OR TIFFANY BLUE: What the Nineties Teach Us About the NRA, Combative Politics, and the Women Who Engage

Thursday, February 11, 6 p.m.

Handwerker Gallery, Ithaca College

Deborah Homsher's lecture will cover combative gun politics in the U.S., how they took fire during the 1990s, and what they mean for our political contests today. The talk will be based on her book, "Women and Guns," which was grounded in interviews with women whose opinions about gun-rights and gun-control legislation were strongly conflicted: deer and turkey hunters, pro-Second-Amendment right-to-carry advocates, gunshot victims, grieving mothers.
