Mind, Body, Me & Inspiration

Contributed by Katie Sack on 09/27/16

The Ithaca College Mind, Body, Me (MBM) wellness program focuses on you: the employee, and works to help you identify and move towards your personal health and wellness goals. Our wellness program is open for all benefits-eligible faculty and staff to join and includes a variety of wellness features. One great feature of our program includes INSPIRATION!

Each and every one of us is on a wellness journey and these journeys — of struggle and of triumph — are truly inspiring...

John Bradac (Career Services): "I knew that I needed to make a commitment to exercise daily.  “One day at a time” has been my motto and I try to make exercise happen daily.  In the beginning it was tough, I would have loved to have made any excuse not to workout but knew it was an important aspect if I wanted to become healthier. Someone said” just show up” and the rest will take care of itself." Read the rest of John's story by clicking here

Barbara Adams (Writing): "I feel much more in control – especially of my sense of balance and strength. When I began, I often couldn’t walk down a flight of stairs because of my arthritis; now, I can actually run lightly downstairs. I also discovered how much I enjoy lifting weights. Who knew?"
