The Office of Residential Life will be offering open housing (housing allowing students to live with whomever makes them most comfortable regardless of their sex or gender) for returning students in the Garden Apartments, Circle Apartments, Emerson Hall and Terrace Coed by Door rooms.

This housing option will be available beginning in fall 2016. Currently the online housing selection system does not permit students of two different sexes to select into the same room/apartment bedroom.  If you are interested in living in this kind of arrangement for 2016-17 please contact the Office of Residential Life. We will manually house students in open housing on a space available basis. We will then work with Digital Instruction and Information Services (formerly Information Technology Services) to make the necessary changes to housing selection to permit students to select open housing online as soon as soon as resources become available to dedicate to this project.  We are excited to offer this expanded housing option to our returning students and want to thank the members of Student Government Association who helped to co-author and provide input to the proposal.
