Emmy Award-winning filmmakers Sarah Moshman and Dana Michelle Cook were tired of the lack of positive female role models in the media, and felt inspired to make a change. The result is the documentary entitled The Empowerment Project: Ordinary Women Doing Extraordinary Things.

You are invited to a screening of The Empowerment Project on Thursday, March 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the Park Hall Auditorium. A Q&A Session with the filmmakers will follow. The event is funded as part of the Park Distinguished Visitor Series through generosity of the Park Foundation.

Driving over 7,000 miles from Los Angeles to New York over the course of 30 days, the documentary spotlights positive and powerful women leaders across a variety of lifestyles and industries.

This event is part of Women in Media Month. For more information about the Empowerment Project and its filmmakers, click here. For more information about Women in Media month, click here.

The film is distributed by Indieflix.
